The  faces

behind  the

magic:

CO-PRESIDENT

Stephanie is a is a Senior Physics major from Miami with a book collection you could build a home out of.

Here are her thoughts on sex:

"I think a vital piece of our campus life is a healthy sex culture! An open-minded and educated student body is a safer, happier and sexier one, able to explore without fear of judgement, " says Stephanie. "I am passionate about helping anyone I can become more knowledgeable about sex and gender. If you ever have a question about such a topic, feel free to approach me!"

Jake Sirota

Jake Sirota is a sophomore Anthropology major from Miami. He likes learning new dad jokes and spends his spare time trying (and failing) to brew kombucha and climbing.

"I want people to have a space to dig into the questions that they weren’t comfortable asking for whatever reason. A student body that’s open-minded and educated about sex is going to be safer, have more fun, and explore themselves more fully."

Demoriya Lashai is a sophomore Romance Languages major. Her interest in sexual health stems from personal experience.

"My sex education was rather distorted. I was always told to be abstinent and that if you have sex you will get pregnant or STD's. I want everyone to know that sex is not bad, people are sexual beings, and, yes, there are risks you take when you have sex but there are also benefits and ways to reduce some of those risks. I think everyone has a right to accurate, comprehensive sex education, so they can make the best decision for themselves."

CO-PRESIDENT

Sierra is a Senior Anthropology major from Seattle who has a passion for film and other forms of digital media.

Here are her thoughts on sex:

"We all think about it, most of us whisper about it, enough of us do it, but we are lacking a dialogue about sex at W&L," she says, "I want W&L to be abe to have conversations that are open, respectful, and positive."

Calvin Riss

Calvin Riss is a sophomore from  Boulder  and takes pride in fully embodying the indie lifestyle. He enjoys bathing in the majesty of the wilderness through physical exhaustion. He loves weird clothes and has on occasion worn fishnets and high heels.

"Talk to me about my strange obsessions and my openness and acceptance of all aspects of human sexuality.  Be open

and affirming. I love you all. Life's a garden, dig it."

Haley Stern is a first-year from Charlottesville!

"I want people to have a space to dig into the questions that they weren’t comfortable asking for whatever reason. A student body that’s open-minded and educated about sex is going to be safer, have more fun, and explore themselves more fully."
